FAQs

What is your turnaround time?

Normally we would like to have a two-week time frame, however, we can and do provide same-day service.

What kind of frame should I get for my art/document/photo/needlework/jersey/3D items?

This is the fun part of framing! We will work with you to creatively design the appropriate combination of mat, glass, mount, and frame. Modern art tends to be designed with a more sleek concept, whereas traditional art may include more flourishes and detailed work in the frame. What is important is to choose a frame that will correctly house the item (i.e. depth of the rabbet and mounting method) so the art is the main event.

What is archival framing?

M&H offers conservation/preservation framing. This includes correct acid-free matting, substrates, and glazing. This type of framing gives your art a longer life.

What type of art do you sell?

Fine art includes all mediums, pottery, blown glass, limited edition and open edition prints, and wearable art such as silk scarves and handcrafted jewelry. Most of our art is created by local artists!

Is it necessary to use UV glass?

Whether an item was purchased at a flea market or the monetary value is much higher, it deserves to be protected with ultraviolet filtering glazing because you are choosing to frame it! M&H Custom Framing and Gallery offers several types of glazing, both acrylic and glass, that have the beauty of UV protection. We highly recommend these products; they work! Our most popular glazing choice is Tru Vue Museum glass.
